Love Is Poem

Love is a poem that demonstrates what love is and also what it isn’t in a poetic way.

I write a lot of bespoke poems for couples who want to put their unique wordy stamp on their wedding day.

Love is – Poem

Love is not a word, a sign and not always a kiss
love is something so precious it should never be missed
love is not a card in the post or lip service on tap
love is longevity, loyalty and cutting through the crap

Love is unfailing, rewarding, deep and intense
love is knowing that some words and things were never really meant
love is not unreliable, cold or lacking depth
love is the foundation of whatever is often left

Love is not the ‘you know I love you’s
when nothing is ever shown
love is loving all that you have
and watching all the people you love grow

Love is different, each version is unique in itself
love is not immune to those still waiting on the shelf
love is not forgetting when others loved you still
while others walked away, throwing you the ‘This is too much for me to deal with’ type pill

Love is holding on to all that has depth
it is not letting go when in reverse you never left
love is not always kind, nor is it mean or untrue
Love is something we all deserve, yes that’s for me and it’s for you…
