I live in happily in Hampshire, I am a mother of three gorgeous children, wife of one husband and sister to quite a few lovely siblings!
I love being a Mum to our three children and a wife/best friend to Pete. We go back quite a way, as Pete and I met when I was just 19, he was the bass player, and I was the lead vocalist in a resident band in Devon. We had such a blast, a great way to start a relationship, what’s not to have loved about parties, music, hopes and many dreams…
First and foremost my family are the most important things to me, and I do feel incredibly lucky to have my lovely family, it just gets better as a mother.
We also have a cute little rescue dog called Elsie, part Jack Russell, part Daschund and part something else, we think, the DNA test is on its way! She is adorable and our dominating and often seriously, bemused Burmese cat Evy, tolerates her.
My favourite form of relaxation, is to be by a roaring fire, reading and writing, or, lying on a swing bed, in the sun listening to the birds, with water nearby, hopefully a pool.
I love doing lovely things with my family and friends, including walking, eating, cooking, visiting new places in the UK, holidays, going to the theatre, comedy nights, going to gigs big and small, visiting National Trust Properties, socialising, family gatherings, BBQ’s, holidays, weekends away, learning new skills, and so much more, there is so much to do out there!
Being creative, keeps me sane, it is my business and my passion. Writing songs and performing in all sorts of venues, is great fun, I don’t think I will ever stop.
My writing, part time radio presenting and singing really does help keep me on my toes, and keeps the creative flowing in all I do.
I have been fortunate to have sung in many of the biggest recording studios in the UK, performed at some awesome venues and been a part of some great song writing teams over the years. It has been a lot of fun and such a great experience.
I love the fact that my life is so varied and full of surprises.
Women and working, has changed hugely over the years, now many of us, in fact, both men and women, will do more than one thing, working from home and embracing new opportunities, can make for a very interesting and busy time.
‘Too old to care and too young to give up!’
I have worked with some pretty cool people and now working from home means that I can meet my clients when I want to, I can be at my children’s school events and I can manage my work time to fit in around my family and me – and whats more, I get to eat Bombay Mix at lunch time, in my office, without annoying anyone!
